Press Start 2017

Things I like: complicated family relationships, established romantic relationships, bittersweetness, hurt/comfort, canon-divergence AUs, non-mundane genre AUs, crossdressing, loyalty kink, characters protecting each other/saving each other's lives, action/casefic/etc. A-plot with romance B-plot, smut

DNWs: non-canon pregnancy or kidfic, fic heavily focused on children/parenting, fic in which a requested pairing breaks up and stays broken up to the end of the fic, issuefic, non-canon character death, noncon, mundane AUs, crossovers, vore or guro (as kinks), non-requested ships (canon or otherwise) as the main focus of the fic

Any POV or tense is fine; my only stylistic request is that there be proper capitalization, because I find things easier to read that way.

I am really bad at coming up with specific prompts, so first of all, I apologize for that, but second, whatever specific prompts I do include are probably some random thing thought of off the top of my head in an attempt to give you some kind of guidance if you're having trouble, rather than being ideas I'm really married to, so feel free to disregard them entirely.

16 Ways to Kill a Vampire at McDonald's

Lucy & or / Claire: Of the various endings that you get from the little bonus segment after you find all sixteen ways, I'm particularly interested in the ones where Claire (the cashier) becomes a vampire hunter. I'm especially interested in the one where Claire nearly dies, tries and fails to go back to her ordinary life, and then goes to a lot of effort to track down Lucy & co., so something spinning off that ending would be great, but the one(s) where Lucy gets the vampire before Claire is in any real danger and then just explains the whole thing to her is/are also good. I'd love to see Lucy showing Claire the ropes when it comes to vampire hunting, or something set further in the future when Claire has become a competent hunter in her own right with the two of them teaming up to take down a vampire, or several, together. Romance between them is also very welcome--I know Claire is fairly young, so if you wanted to set romance fic a few years down the line, that's cool with me, though I also wouldn't be bothered by romance fic set closer to the time of the canon. All that said, if you have a great idea that's unrelated to any of my prompts, go for it; I would be thrilled for fic for this game to exist at all.

Fate/stay night (Visual Novel)

Tohsaka Rin/Saber: Rin and Saber are both strong-willed and they may clash sometimes, but in the end they work pretty well together, and under less stressful circumstances, maybe they could even, you know, relax and have fun together! I'd be happy with something set during canon for them, but post-UBW Good End fic would also be really fun--could be something with the two of them going off to the Clock Tower, maybe some new supernatural shenanigans crop up that they have to deal with, or maybe they just finally get to go on a normal date, whatever. (I don't especially care what you do with Shirou in this scenario, but would prefer that he not be involved too heavily.)

Saber: Alternately, just give me all the Saber-centric gen, because I love her, okay. I would be particularly interested in something that expands on her pre-Heroic Spirit life--I mean, sure, there's the whole existing body of Arthurian legend, but I'm interested in how things go for Saber particularly in that role and how she feels about it all? I'm also interested (as with the Saber/Rin stuff above) in post-canon stuff, where she has to adjust to living in the modern world while not fighting a Grail War.

Life Is Strange

Max Caulfield/Kate Marsh: Kate is such a sweetheart, and I enjoyed her and Max's developing friendship in the game, so of course I also want them to kiss, because I am a simple fan with simple needs. (Or at least to go on a tea date that's a date-date and not a friend-date.) Of course, if you set this post-canon then Max remembers the development of their friendship but Kate does not, which I always think is an interesting tension to explore in time-travel canons--the lopsidedness of relationships/feelings that can come from one person experiencing stuff that didn't happen in this timeline. Does she ever confide in Kate about the time-travel thing, or does it just sound too crazy when she no longer has the powers to prove it? I would slightly prefer a post-canon thing to something set during the canon, because Kate is Dealing with a Lot of Shit and I don't think she's in a good place to start a relationship, but if you strongly dislike the time-travel lopsided-feelings thing or you have a great idea that only works if set during that time, go ahead. (Or you can do some kind of slight AU such that the end of the game doesn't mean the rest of the events of the game never happened, or something.)

Max Caulfield/Victoria Chase: All the time-travel stuff above applies here too, of course, though I'm more interested in stuff set during canon for Victoria than for Kate. I'm mostly after an enemies-to-friends-to-lovers dynamic here, though I'm also not opposed to hatesex (or T-rated hate makeouts). Incorporating Victoria's secret nerd side is a plus. (Incidentally, I find it interesting that the anime figure Victoria has in her room is the sexy fanservicey Look At All My Cleavage kind, and by "interesting" I mean "gay." I mean, from a Doylist perspective that's probably because the creators of the game thought that was the only kind of anime figure there was, but I elect to ignore that in favor of speculating that Victoria might be the kind of person whose guilty pleasure is watching, like, Valkyrie Drive. But this is just a random thought that you do not in any way have to incorporate.)

Long Live the Queen

Brin/Elodie: Brin/Elodie gets fairly little screen time even if you go that route, so it's hard to talk about the relationship as a whole, but Brin is such an interesting character--kind of sharp-edged and brittle and angry and very bitter about her past failed relationships, but in a way that suggests that she feels things very deeply and gets very attached to people even though she keeps getting burned. (I can see her needing a certain amount of reassurance that Elodie really does care and isn't going to ditch her for a guy, or another woman, anytime soon, though I don't think she'd outright ask for it.) I also think it's kind of an interesting dynamic that Brin is significantly older and more experienced, but Elodie might well (depending on how she's played, I mean) be the more level-headed and responsible one of the two. I would love either post-canon fic or missing-scene type stuff showing more of the development of their relationship, though I do ask that you not base your fic on the ending where Elodie marries Banion and Brin marries Elodie's dad, because that just got too quasi-incestuous for me.

Briony/Elodie: I was under the impression for a while that Brin was the f/f romance option, so I was pleasantly surprised when I finally did Elodie and Briony's ill-fated forest adventure and it turned out to lead to romance. Nothing like rescuing a girl from death by tentacle monster to win her love, I guess! Seriously, though, they were completely adorable and I loved the stuff in the epilogue about their incredibly unsubtle courtship with the moonlight serenades and all. It would be really great to see some of that in more detail! I think they have less room for fic set during canon than Brin/Elodie, since we know that Elodie doesn't even really consider Briony a friend until after the party, but if you can fit something in there—or want to write pre-canon fic about them being at school together, even, with Briony pining or as an AU where they do become closer during that time—that's cool too.

Love Live! School Idol Festival

Aikawa Ryo/Shirase Koyuki: I started shipping Ryo and Koyuki after seeing the scene where Ryo talks about getting to perform alongside Koyuki in a play. I'd love anything expanding on their longtime friendship and how it develops into romance, but I'd particularly enjoy if it incorporated theatre in some way (or maybe a romantic-overtoned idol performance, like Love Wing Bell in the anime?). I'm a big fan of the Takarazuka Revue and pretty much all the Japanese pop culture inspired by it, so anything about all-female theatrical productions is My Jam, and I am a sucker for onstage romances becoming offstage romances, as cheesy as that is. Or, I don't know, now that Koyuki's tried out theater, does Ryo try out dance?

Mido Yuri/Miyashita Coco Okay, all we really know about their relationship is that Coco apparently likes dressing Yuri up in cute outfits and telling her how good she looks in them and Yuri is tsundere about it, but I am totally here for makeovers full of sublimated attraction, and generally Coco dragging Yuri into doing things and Yuri complaining about it but secretly enjoying it.

I'd be happy to see other N girls show up in the fic in supporting roles, but much as I love μ's and Aqours, I'd like to keep any appearances on their part to the cameo level.

Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga

A little bit about the vore/guro DNW in this context: I am fine with gore/violence and cannibalism here, because that's part of the canon, I just don't want to get the impression that the writer is kinking on them/that I as a reader am meant to be kinking on them, because I don't. I know some people who've offered this fandom will probably find this disappointing and I'm sorry about that, but that's my preference.

Argilla/Jinana: I love the little glimpses we see of the relationship between Argilla and Jinana. So I'd be happy to see some interactions between them in the brief time that they know each other--discussions they might have had, things they learned from each other, or, you know, times that they made out if that's the route you want to go with it. Or if you want something less tragic, I would totally read an AU where Jinana lives and joins the party (even though that would kind of be defeating her purpose in Argilla's character arc)--which would not be an unalloyed fluffy fix-it, because Jinana would probably struggle with all the fighting and eating and possibly have trouble finding her place in the group. Or something about them meeting again in a future incarnation or something, because I'm a sappy loser apparently.

Jenna Angel: I find Angel a really fascinating character and probably one of my favorite RPG villains ever. I'd love to see some more exploration of her backstory and her descent from "generally well-meaning scientist trying to save people" to, well, "JRPG villain". Not that the game doesn't make it fairly clear what precipitated that, but it'd be interesting to see it more from her point of view. I'm also interested in her relationship with Sera and what that might have been like pre-game--or during the game, for that matter. Was there ever any real affection there, or was Sera just a tool?
